 DemoHOA Neighborhood Watch Program

The Neighborhood Watch Program is a communications network among neighbors and a collaborative effort between communities and the local police department.

The objectives of Neighborhood Watch are to prevent crime by increasing vigilance, creating and maintaining a caring community, and reducing opportunities for crime by increasing crime prevention awareness.

In liaison with the local Police Department, DemoHOA Neighborhood Watch seeks to provide and disseminate accurate information to residents regarding crime and vandalism in our neighborhood.

How Neighborhood Watch works

  1. If a neighbor sees or suspects criminal activity taking place, they should call the Local Police Department at 911. If the crime has already occurred, ie. an overnight car break-in, neighbors should call the Local Police non-emergency number, 404-555-1234.
  2. Next, they should contact the NW coordinator and relay what happened.
  3. The coordinator will alert the neighborhood to the criminal activity and maintain contact with the police.
